Good Morning and Happy New Year. First Blog of the year, well first blog post ever, lets start the year as we mean to go on. I have found four very lovely rooms that might inspire you a little on this first working Monday of the new decade.

The first is this bedroom shot taken by persia lou. Stunning use of colour especially the deep green paint colour on the wall. It’s saturated but restful and looks perfect with simple white bedding and a pop of the bold black and white patterned headboard and leather of the bench ties it all together perfectly. For similar shades try Duck Green by Farrow & Ball

A new colour for 2020 this stunning plum pink, which is showing signs of being the new grey this room has shades and layers of one colour with a little creamy thrown in to stop it being to much. But take note of the ceiling, is this was a shorter room this would have a very different effect. But this clean white shade and high ceiling makes a statement and pulls the whole room together in a dramatic way. You don’ t have to be this bold, a very very pale pink would look great and do a similar job.

This is one of my favourite colour combinations, Mustard and a deep dark navy blue is a perfect living room combo. Picking one wall and going bold is a great baby step for a bold beginner, and what better statement wall then the one with the fireplace, using a white fire surround and white walls helps frame and neutralise the colour. Some bold colour inspiration perfect to make any room pop. Next week will be tiles 2020 bathroom tends and tile trends to bring style and drama to your home!
